Wax seals have been used since antiquity to guarantee the integrity and authenticity of documents. Nowadays, this type of wax seal is seldom used to certify a document, and only survives as a decorative element that lends class and distinction to a personal letter, diploma, award, certificate invitation, or a gift item. We offer a colored, scented, imitation wax seal molded out of durable plastic material, with your initial, standard or custom design on it, ready to use. It will easily adhere to any surface, using a double-sided adhesive dot, while it releases a pleasant fragrance for a long time. It is a beautiful replica of a real wax seal, and it is perfect every time, effortlessly, without scrap. All letters come as initials and several standard designs are available in many colors. Approximate dimensions of seals: Small Size 7/8"; Large Size 1 5/16". Artwork can be easily customized to create two or three letter monograms (i.e. special symbols, company or school logos). It will not fade, chip or break, and it withstands even mail handling machines.

Compare the ease of use of our seals with the old wax process

A custom-made seal and sticks of wax are needed. Sealing wax is still used today to create a special effect, but the process is complex and not suited to large quantities. In the old days, people used to lick the seal or dip it in water before each use. The thin coating of water would keep the hot wax from sticking to the metal. We suggest you lightly spray the metal seal with a non-stick lubricant (e.g. WD40, Pam cooking spray, silicone) to ensure that the wax won't stick to the seal. Here are the steps in conventional wax seals:

1. 1. Light the wax, tilt the stick at an angle, and let the wax drip where you want your seal
2. Start by creating a circle of wax slightly larger than your seal
3. Next, fill in the circle and blow out the wax stick.
4. Place the metal seal firmly in the wax while it is still liquid
5. Wait 5 seconds to allow the wax to harden before pulling the seal from the wax. To cleanup, wipe the metal seal with a paper towel. If any wax is stuck to the metal, use a pin to poke it out, and next time lubricate that spot more carefully.

Yes, you can have a special character, symbol, logo, a double, or triple monogram created as a custom seal.

Graphics created in graphic programs, in which shapes are represented as a series of lines and curves. Vector graphics are also referred to as object-based graphics or line art. This contrasts with bitmap graphics, which are created pixel by pixel in paint programs and by scanners.

How much do they cost?

Packaging: Smaller orders will be packaged in either a gift box or in a poly bag. Larger orders will be shipped in poly bags placed in a master carton.
